Duplicate the Mainframe Journey Template Page to create your own page, and introduce us to your journey!

HOW TO make your Journey Page

Tip: Open this page in a separate window to keep this open in a new window before your start or your checklist will be replaced when you navigate.

• Request & Receive Edit Access (See process)

• Click the Edit button at the upper right of the GitBook.

• Ensure the Table of Contents on the left side of the screen is expanded through Chapter 5: Career Paths and Opportunities --> Mainframe Journeys: From Students to Professionals so you can see the title of the template page in the section.

• Hover over the "Mainframe Journey Template Page [Duplicate to add your own!]"

• Click the 3 dots when they display to the right of the title in the TOC

• Select Duplicate from the submenu.

• Now your new page will show in the TOC as "Copy of Mainframe Journey Template Page [Duplicate to add your own!]

Start Editing Your Page!

• First, ensure you are in your copy and no longer selecting the template. Your "Copy" page will be highlighted in the TOC on the left if it is active.

Note: Display and highlights vary when viewing in dark or light mode.

• Once you are definitely on YOUR page, rename the title of your page from within the page at the top.

Note: You cannot edit the title from the TOC

• Fill out the template with your information.

• Link to your LinkedIn if you'd like!

• Feel free to add visuals

Be sure not to share any screenshots from proprietary information from your work!

• Once you are done editing your page (initially) be sure to put the current date at the end of the "That's my journey as of ..." portion at the end, so we know it is ready to merge and go live!
